The Alamoreviewed by Benn "Where's the Humanity?" Farrell
Jason Patrick (The Lost Boys) and a handful of others, like Billy Bob Thornton (Sling Blade), spend their screen time
asking each other, "Why are YOU here?"
First off, every character gets SO involved in why the man sitting next to him is fighting at a hopeless assignment, the
storyline disappears.
Secondly, characters at the Alamo consistently tell each other they are all going to die. Is
anticipation meant to be born from this? However, I know enough about history to know
this; everyone at the Alamo…THEY ALL DIED!
Why must we spend so much screen time on prolonging the inevitable? I hate this picture. Two hours
of, "Hey, we're going to die, but we don't know why. I love Texas."
To hell with this one too.
