Benn Farrell The Butterfly Effect

There isn't much I can say about this movie accept that I liked it. It was interesting and creepy, and it showed Ashton Kutcher (Just Married) having a lot of range. He could be a solid actor as time wears him down.

This one isn't the greatest thriller in the world, but one of the better one's I've seen recently. I never felt comfortable sitting in the theater during this picture, which is good for its genre I guess. In fact, some sequences in the picture are downright tough to watch.

The material can get pretty disturbing in parts, as in scenes with best friend Kayleigh's father, played by Eric Stoltz (Rob Roy), videotaping a porno movie with his eight year old daughter and Kutcher's younger self. Not a fun ride, trust me. Kutcher's character goes through a mountain of bad moments growing up, which sets up the plot for the remaining 2/3 of the film.

See it. It's very intense and well done. It wasn't what I expected; kind of like a "I Know What You Did During Your Last Blackout" teenager slasher flick. You'll laugh at my description once you've seen the movie.
