"Corky Romano" is a useless high concept comedy starring Saturday Night Live's recent alumni Chris Kattan (Night at the Roxbury). There are a couple good chuckles in the film, but they are very few and far between.

Kattan plays the title character, a hapless veterinarian, who is enlisted by his disowned Mafia family to infiltrate the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Of course, the plans is, Corky gets in, destroys the evidence against his ailing mob boss father and…well that's it. Having lived in the dark about the family's business, Corky learns about what's been going on, as he searches for what FBI evidence against them is true and what is fabricated by an informant on his father's payroll.

Yes, it's very far fetched. However, Kattan is a physical madman in this picture and very laughable. Most other scenes are completely stupid.

One poor aspect of Kattan's performance is the fact he is a flaming homosexual in real life, which easily transfers to his performance in such roles. So, when the story takes him into a semi-romance with a fellow FBI agent, the chemistry between them is completely unfounded.

"Corky Romano" was directed by newcomer Rob Pritts and written by TV writer David Garrett and smalltime credited scripter Jason Ward. Both writers are providing the screenplay for the upcoming "Deuce Bigalo" sequel. Sure, that'll be worth seeing.

If you enjoy brainless comedy led by a homosexual having a seizure, than "Corky Romano" is the rental for you. Otherwise, you will always remain enjoying life if you skip this one.
