Paul Rudd and Parker Posey make a great disgruntled couple.

In “The Oh in Ohio,” Priscilla Chase, played by Posey (For Your Consideration), is a predictable woman with a chronic inability to have an orgasm. Feeling emasculated, her husband, played by Rudd (40-Year-Old Virgin), leaves the marriage and seeks comfort in the crotch of his 18-year-old student.

Meanwhile, Priscilla goes on an adventure of self exploration to discover what makes her tick ‘inside’ and out.

The writing for this picture is very, very good; compliments to the pen of Sarah Bird and director Billy Kent. The script is smart and just odd enough. It has very soft comedy with some stronger situational stuff.

There were a couple of scenes that were laugh out loud funny, including a sex therapy group, led by Liza Minnelli (Cabaret), where Priscilla and others were commanded to draw their own vagina. Priscilla draws a large oval with stick figures of a happy family with their dog in front of their home; hilarious.

In addition, there is a scene where Priscilla hides her pager in her crotch as an experiment. She ends up in a big presentation at work when her ex-husband (Rudd) continues to call her pager in a fit. Priscilla involuntarily gets off on the pager right in front of her bosses and prospective clients. Again, the situational comedy is great.

This movie also has a trend, which has appeared a lot this year (2006); how women who end up with less-than-hot guys. This time around, it’s Posey and Danny DeVito who became a couple, and somehow, it works. The two are cute as hell by the end of the movie.

The best part of this movie is its message, which comes from Priscilla’s mouth directly; sometimes you have to let go, even for just a second, to realize what makes you happy.

Overall, this is a very cute rental for a night at home with the girlfriend/boyfriend. I will certainly own this one sometime soon.

Guys, please take note there is an interesting implied sex scene between Posey and Heather Graham in this picture. That’s worth the price of the rental alone. Woo-hoo! Yes, I am a pig. Hate me. I don’t care.
