I know what you all must think of me by confessing I like "Spiceworld." I cannot defend it. It's a crap of a movie that makes NO sense. The Spice Girls cannot act, but have several funny moments in the picture. Basically, it's all one big music video, but there are a handful of cameos in the movie that keep it interesting like George Wendt (TV's Cheers), Mark McKinney (TV's Kids in the Hall), Richard O'Brian (Rocky Horror Picture Show), Alan Cumming (Circle of Friends, Goldeneye) and a handful of others you may recognize.

The humor in the picture is directed towards 12 year old girls and very lonely men who just turned 30 years old.

Will I say its good picture? No. Do I own the DVD? Yes, and for all the wrong reasons, all five pairs of them. I'm not even going to suggest anyone see this picture, but I will watch it on behalf of the people of existence. I will bare the burden of this picture being among the same world we live in. Its a tough responsibility, but with a bottle of Lubriderm, I'm willing to make the sacrifice. You may email your condolences to dockratent@hotmail.com.

If you want the story, here it is. Five girls in a pop band are trying to make a European tour while being hounded by paparazzi, trying to create friction within the Spice Girls group and split them up. There's some other subplots, but as long as the pretty girls are singing, no one cares. That's it. Long legs, boobies, pop music and barely understandable Brittish accents…yea, fun. I know you won't see it, so I won't say to. You all think less of me now, don't you.

To Geri Halliwell's credit, a.k.a. Ginger Spice, she did very well as Hugh Grant's love interest in Richard Curtis' romantic comedy "Love Actually." Maybe one of the Spice Girls actually DID have some talent.

Benn - Where's the Humanity?

Why am I doing a review for Spice World? Well, when I think of this movie I think of the house I lived in with Benn, Jason, Scott, and Tony. I can remember waking up on a Saturday morning and going upstairs and seeing Benn laying on the couch watching "Saved By The Bell." Upon seeing this I would make a derogatory comment which Benn in turn would flip me off. I would then go back downstairs and try to get sleep. Soon after words I would here Spice Girls music coming from the vent above my room, since Benn's room was right above mine. I hated the bastard every Saturday morning, and I hated the Spice Girls too.

Well, I still hate the Spice Girls and the movie Spice World, but I find that every time its on Showtime, I watch it.

Is there anything redeeming about the movie Spice World? No, but it is funny to see all of the guest stars, more British ones than American ones, in the movie. If you like the Spice Girls and/or like watching really dumb women sing and dance in tight outfits, than this movie is for you. If not, it should be burned right along with the Britany Spears, Mariah Carey movies.

But I will watch Spice World, and if I can get it cheap enough, I will probably buy it, you know a $1.99 special, just don't tell Benn.
