If Benn is allowed the guilty pleasure of Spice World, then I am allowed the guilty pleasure of Stroker Ace. (I will use Spice World against Benn for at least 20 movies.)

This is one of the many Burt Reynolds movies that took place in the late 70's early 80's after he became a star. Unfortuently this is not a very good movie.

The movie is about Stroker (Reynolds), a NASCAR driver who is so trying to when the championship even though he has problems with his sponsor, Clyde Torkel (Ned Beatty), a racecar driver Aubrey James (70's icon Parker Stevenson), and Torkel's secretary Pembrook Feeney (Reynolds ex-wife Loni Anderson.)

The movie is as clean T and A film, which means it's got no nudity but lots implied. One of the things I enjoy about the movie is that you can see the stereotype of the southern male and their likeness of NASCAR in the movie. Unlike now where NASCAR is enjoyed nation wide, for the most part, NASCAR was a southern thing in the 70's and 80's and you can see all of the hillbillies, shirtless, carrying beer and food. Actually quite frightening to look at and funny.

Overall, this movie blows but I like it. It is almost a carbon copy of Cannonball Run, Smokey and The Bandit, and other movies directed by Hal Needham in the early 80's. Don't watch it, its ok, but I will, a lot.
